World Spine Day


For the last 10 years at Lee Chiropractic Clinic, we have been providing newsletters and information on aging well, which equates with taking care of your spine for the long haul. This means we treat more than the symptoms - we also look to find the cause which may be an older injury. New injuries often come from older injuries that have not been fully rehabilitated – whether it’s from running, sports, MVA or a work injury.

It’s important to remember that the body is strong. Keeping a strong tall torso and a stable core for all of life’s activities does require time and effort. It’s an investment that’s worth what you put in.

For World Spine Day, the CCA (Canadian Chiropractic Association) has provided the public with the following statistics:

• Over 11 million Canadians suffer from at least one musculoskeletal condition each year. • Up to 85% of workers will experience low back pain in their lifetime. • One in eight Canadians report having a chronic back problem. • Over 31% of Canadians report activity limitations due to back pain. • Forty percent of work absences are due to back pain, second only to the common cold. • One in 10 Canadians report limitations to their normal activities due to a repetitive strain injury.

Dr. Eugene Lee and Dr. Anne Maylin-Lee enjoy treating a variety of people. They find it is easier to help people who commit and put effort in at home/between chiropractic visits. A part of their job is building body awareness and so they want to enable people with information that is both academic and physical.
