  • ¾ cup white sugar

  • 2 Tablespoons margarine

  • ½ cup low fat yogurt (any flavour!)

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 cups flour

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 egg

  • Mix all ingredients together, and put the bananas in last. Pour into a lightly sprayed and floured bread loaf pan. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Let cool on a rack for 10 minutes or, then remove from pan and enjoy!

    Low Fat Bran Muffins

  • 1 cup All Bran
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ¼ cups low fat yogurt (any flavour)
  • ½ cup oil (not olive)
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Did you know? Yogurt is an excellent source of protein and helps the body to absorb calcium and vitamin B5. It also provides a form of good bacteria to keep your colon healthy.
