Low Fat Treats “Thank you to Randolph B. for these yummy recipes!”
Low Fat Banana Loaf
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3) ¾ cup white sugar 2 Tablespoons margarine ½ cup low fat yogurt (any flavour!) 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 cups flour pinch of salt 1 egg Mix all ingredients together, and put the bananas in last. Pour into a lightly sprayed and floured bread loaf pan. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Let cool on a rack for 10 minutes or, then remove from pan and enjoy!
Low Fat Bran Muffins
Mix all ingredients in the order given. Prepare/line muffin tins. Bake at 350°F for 20-30 minutes, checking at 20 minutes with a toothpick. Once the toothpick comes out clean, remove from oven, let cool and enjoy! Did you know? Yogurt is an excellent source of protein and helps the body to absorb calcium and vitamin B5. It also provides a form of good bacteria to keep your colon healthy. |
